Since the Golden Nugget Atlantic City is undergoing a major renovation the hotel gave away mattresses and other furnishings to residents Wednesday city officials said.The event continues from noon to 8 p.m. today. Residents must provide their own means for pickup and transportation, the city said in a news release. King, queen and full-size mattresses along with box springs, pillows, couches, sectionals, lamps, tables, chairs and clocks are available.
