AC Man Indicted On Animal Cruelty Counts

An Atlantic County grand jury has returned a multiple count indictment charging Jahlil McNeal, 23, from Atlantic City, NJ with several counts of animal cruelty, witness tampering, and theft of services.
On two separate occasions it is alleged that McNeal abandoned multiple pit bull mix dogs by
throwing them over the fence at the Humane Society of Atlantic County, located next to Route 30.
Both incidents occurred during the middle of the night when the Humane Society was closed. The
first incident occurred on April 8, 2024, when McNeal hoisted and threw three dogs over the fence.
The second abandonment occurred on July 15, 2024, when McNeal threw his pit bull mix, known
then as Brenda, over the fence.
