On Thursday, 24 year old William Clanton of Ventnor was sentenced to three years New Jersey State Prison, for third-degree aggravated assault. On January 1, 2021, the Absecon Police Department responded to the Field of Dreams Park in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim with four stab wounds to the victim’s head, throat, arm and abdomen. Officers performed lifesaving treatment, and the victim
was rushed to the hospital, where he survived. The defendant was found in the park with two
knives and admitted to stabbing the victim during a fight.
