A local convenience store in Atlantic City was temporarily issued a stop-work order last week after it allegedly owed an employee more than $2,200 in wages, the state Department of Labor said. The department issued the order to Kings Grocery & Deli at 1301 Adriatic Ave. due to unpaid overtime, not providing records, hindrance, a lack of earned sick leave records, lack of notification/posting for earned sick leave, failing to properly classify employee and unpaid wages, the department said Wednesday in a news release.
