The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities voted Wednesday to open a four-month window for considering an 8% increase in delivery rates for Atlantic City Electric customers. And the Press of Atlantic CIty goes on to say the rate increase, which the company applied for in November, will be reviewed by the BPU and the Division of Rate Counsel.The Atlantic County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday passed a resolution opposing the proposed rate increase, which would follow other increases of 13% in electricity supply costs, 5% in distribution rates and 2% in transmission rates over the past year or so.
