While residents continue to speak against any proposal for religious instruction during the school day, Ocean City Board of Education President Kevin Barnes said nothing has come before the board for a vote.A local organizing committee for the LifeWise Academy had reached out to the district in the fall about the potential of offering Bible study to Ocean City students during the school day, at a location outside of school.
