The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office has appointed Detective Mark Weeks to monitor the borough’s Police Department as Chief Jackie Ferentz is on a leave of absence pending retirement. According to the Press of Atlantic City, Weeks, a retired State Police major, will oversee the department’s daily operations and will provide updates to the Prosecutor’s Office to ensure continuity, maintain public safety and foster accountability.
