McDevitt Announces Bid For AC Mayor’s Post

Bob McDevitt, a former union president and Atlantic City native, has announce his plan to challenge Mayor Marty Small Sr. for the Democratic nomination in this year’s mayoral election. The primary election is scheduled for June 10. The Press of Atlantic City reports McDevitt was joined by at-large City Council hopefuls John Devlin, a retired police officer and former school board and municipal utility board member, community activist Steve Young and community leader Mohammed Akbar Hussain. All three join McDevitt as staunch critics of the Small administration.
