In Atlantic City the Rev. Collins A. Days Sr., who has led Second Baptist Church for 30 years, said Wednesday he will run this year for Atlantic County commissioner in District 1.According to the press of Atlantic City “I fell in love with this area when I first came to preach here 30 years ago,” Days, 64, said Wednesday in a news release sent out by the Atlantic County Democratic Committee. “Atlantic County is a wonderful place to live, but many of our folks are struggling to make ends meet.” The District 1 seat representing Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, Longport and a section of Egg Harbor Township will be open as incumbent Democrat Ernest Coursey decided not to run for reelection.
