Atlantic County’s $267.2 million 2025 budget, which will lower the county tax rate about 2 cents, passed Tuesday at the Board of Commissioners meeting. And the Press of Atlantic City reports the budget proposes raising $188.5 million from taxes – up from $179.5 million last year – and $78.7 million from other revenues.Despite the $9 million increase in the amount to be raised from taxes, increases in the county’s equalized value means the tax burden will be shared by more properties and improved properties, so the rate will decrease, said county Administrator Jerry Del Rosso.
