Bond Ordinances Showt Down By Voters In Lacey Township

Lacey Township voters rejected three bond ordinances totaling $24.5 million in a special school election Tuesday. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the funding would have allowed for the district to replace roofs on several schools and make HVAC and other improvements throughout the district.
Bond proposal 1 was for roofing work at the high school, middle school and four elementary schools. It asked voters whether they would approve spending almost $30 million on the projects, with the amount to be bonded.
The other two proposals could only pass if proposal 1 was approved.
