An Atlantic County jail inmate is facing assault charges after he allegedly punched a corrections officer 11 times last weekend, knocking him unconscious, reports the Press of Atlantic City. 28 year old Unique Tyson of Egg Harbor Township, was charged with aggravated assault. He is due in court Friday for a detention hearing, records show. The officer was conducting a medication pass April 19 when he opened Tyson’s cell door to help medical staff give him his medicine, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
