Cape May man who attacked his then-pregnant fiancée on multiple occasions three years ago was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday, according to the Press of Atlantic City. 33 year old John P. Linnington pleaded guilty in March to attempted murder, aggravated assault on a domestic violence victim by strangulation and contempt of a judicial order. Linnington was charged April 11, 2022, after officers responded to a home in the 400 block of Oak Avenue regarding an incident.
