An Egg Harbor City man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Tuesday for killing an 8-year-old Philadelphia boy in a DWI crash in Absecon in 2023.Edward Johnston, 25, admitted he was under the influence when he killed Javier Velez after rear-ending the vehicle the boy was sleeping in at more than 100 mph on the White Horse Pike. He pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in March.
