On Thursday, 34 year old Jayce F. Thomas of Pleasantville was sentenced on second-degree aggravated
assault and second-degree certain persons to possess weapons charges. Under the terms of
his guilty plea, Thomas was sentenced to an aggregate term of 10 years in New Jersey State
Prison. These charges stem from a report to law enforcement on April 30, 2023. A victim arrived
at the Atlantic City Regional Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen
and received emergency surgery and was hospitalized. Police began an investigation, leading to Thomas as the suspect. He was arrested several days later.
