The Egg Harbor Township Committee recently adopted its budget for the year, which calls for a one-cent increase in the municipal property tax rate. According to the Press of Atlantic City, last year’s budget was $50.2 million. This year’s budget is $52.8 million. The municipal tax rate last year was 65.9 cents per $100 of assessed property value. The proposed new tax rate is 66.9 cents per $100, say officials.
