EHT Man Gets 15 Year Sentence On Drug, Weapons Counts

32 year old Victor Matias of Egg Harbor Township was sentenced to a term of 15 years in New Jersey State Prison with five years of parole ineligibility after previously pleading guilty to the crimes of first-degree Maintaining a Narcotics Production Facility; second-degree Possession of a Firearm While Committing a CDS Crime (2
counts); second-degree Certain Person not to Possess a Firearm; and fourth degree Unlawful
Sale of a Firearm. The investigation conducted by members of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department
determined that Matias, who is a convicted person, illegally sold a handgun to another male and
converted his townhouse apartment at 39 Cambridge Drive in Egg Harbor Township, into a
sophisticated and unlicensed marijuana manufacturing facility. Matias was arrested at the
townhouse on July 2, 2024, and was found in possession of a stolen handgun and multiple large
capacity ammunition magazines.
