27 year old Raekwon Davis from Pemberton was sentenced to four years in New Jersey State Prison for
second-degree Eluding Law Enforcement. On May 1, 2023, Davis was driving on the Garden State Parkway, and New Jersey State Police observed him traveling at over 100 MPH, failing to maintain his lane of travel, tailgating, failing to signal, weaving in and out of cars, and passing other vehicles on the right shoulder of the highway. The State Trooper activated his overhead lights and sirens for Davis to pull over, at which time
Davis slowed down to approximately 20 MPH and pulled onto the shoulder at milepost 49 on the
Mullica River bridge. He then accelerated away from the police at a high rate of speed, eventually
turning onto Exit 48 nearly spinning out of control.
