An Egg Harbor Township man was charged with vehicular homicide Tuesday because he was allegedly speeding when his vehicle struck and killed a star athlete from Pleasantville in May, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.According to the Press of Atlantic City Gary Battisti, 71, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro on Delaware Avenue near Fernwood Avenue at 2:20 p.m. May 17 when a 2022 Mini Cooper driven by 19-year-old Sky Mejiadorado entered the intersection from the north, Egg Harbor Township police said at the time.
