71 year old Gary Battisti from Egg Harbor Township was charged with vehicular homicide based on his involvement in a motor vehicle crash in May of this year.
On May 17, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Battisti was involved in a motor vehicle crash on
Delaware Avenue in Egg Harbor Township. Battisti’s vehicle struck a pedestrian. The
pedestrian, a 13 y/o male from Pleasantville, NJ, was pronounced deceased at the hospital
as a result of the injuries he sustained. Subsequent investigation revealed Battisti was traveling
at an excessive speed at the time of the crash.
