The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has threatened to pull $54 million for a long-planned beach and dune project for the Wildwoods, citing the state’s failure to get needed real estate agreements.An attorney representing North Wildwood, where beach erosion is at its most severe, on Thursday asked Superior Court Judge Susan Sheppard for a hearing on the matter. That’s the same day the Army Corps, the state Department of Environmental Protection and representatives of North Wildwood, Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and Lower Township met virtually to discuss the project.
