There are free flu shots available throughout the area starting this week, the Atlantic County Division of Public Health announced. It is suggested everyone 6 months and older get a yearly flu shot. Adults 65 and older, children younger than 5, pregnant women and those with health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, kidney disease and heart problems, are at a greater risk of developing serious flu complications.
