Ocean City City Council last week approved a $4.25 million contract for the reconstruction of the Boardwalk from St. Charles Place to Fifth Street, with a single vote against.According to the Press of Atlantic City the agreement with L. Feriozzi Concrete Company of Atlantic City calls for a $3.99 million lump sum payment for the work, along with a contingency of $250,000, to include new timber piles, railing and decking.The section is north of most of the Boardwalk businesses. While the Boardwalk is one of the city’s primary commercial areas for multiple blocks, in the north end and the south end, residential uses dominate.
