Mosquito pool samples collected last week from the 100 block of Hammonton Road in Hammonton and a resting box on Griscom Mill Road in Corbin City are the latest to be confirmed positive for West Nile virus, a mosquito-borne illness. County public health and mosquito control officials continue to conduct mosquito surveillance and implement additional control measures, including mosquito ground sprays.
To date, there has been one confirmed human case of West Nile virus in Atlantic County this year.
