Work on the 100 year old Dorset Avenue bridge will require several bridge opening tests, which could result in traffic delays, police said. Police said in a Facebook post that the tests began Friday and will continue through most of this week.According to Atlantic County, the openings will continue through Thursday, Oct. 9. The intermittent openings will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day to allow for testing of new electronic equipment.Police and the county advised motorists and residents to expect traffic delays if the bridge is raised.
