The man who killed his girlfriend and hid her body in a refrigerator, dumping it in Bellplaine State Forest, near Dennis Township, before going on the run twice, had his day in court this week.
Christopher Blevins, 45, of Gloucester City, was indicted for the death of Laura Hughes in June on first-degree murder charges by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. On Monday, the Camden County man pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of aggravated manslaughter, which means he admitted to causing Hughes’ death recklessly, but without the intent or premeditation required for a murder conviction
