A power outage at the Atlantic County Justice Facility postponed first court appearances for several inmate Friday.
According to BreakingAC.com, the problems began during detention hearings before noon, when the screen showing an inmate appearing virtually suddenly went black. The Mays Landing jail does have a generator, but there were issues that Atlantic City Electric was working on. The generator does not provide full power to the jail, with defense attorneys notified that they could not see their clients.
