Work is underway to improve a vacant property at 16th Street and Simpson Avenue under a million-dollar contract approved in the spring in Ocean City.The site used to be a car dealership but has been vacant for years. The original intent had been to see it planted with grass before the start of last summer.In May, City Council approved a $1.012 million contract with Lexa Concrete LLC of Hammonton, after council members delayed the vote to seek more information.
