Margate Approves Major Projects Spending

City of Margate commissioners approved two bond ordinances totaling more than $16 million for major capital projects, led by construction of a new Public Works building.One ordinance authorizes $8.9 million for general capital needs, including roads, buildings, vehicles and recreation facilities.A second $7.5 million bond funds water and sewer utility projects, including the new Public Works building and water system upgrades. In addition, The bonds also fund road reconstruction and resurfacing in 2025 and 2026, including paving, sidewalks, ADA ramps, drainage work and utility coordination. Winchester Avenue is among the streets targeted.
