The Pleasantville School District once again is looking for a new superintendent. Dr. Marilyn Martinez resigned this week, effective at the end of her three-year contract on June 30, reports BreakingAC.com. Martinez did not attend Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, where her resignation letter was read into the record by board Vice President Veronica Silver. The board voted to accept the resignation with President Doris Rowell abstaining due to a conflict since her brother-in-law works for the school district. They then voted to approve the New Jersey School Boards Association to begin the search for the next superintendent.
