U.S. Representative Jeff Van Drew said on Wednesday that the South Jersey region will receive more than $48 million in federal assistance for local infrastructure, employment development, emergency preparedness, and aviation improvements.The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace in Egg Harbor Township will get the majority of the funds. $43 million will be given to the facility for infrastructure and sustainability upgrades, such as resiliency initiatives and electrical system upgrades. There are over 1,500 employees in the center.
