In January, New Jersey’s online gambling sector collected more revenue from online wagerers than Atlantic City’s casinos earned from in-person gamblers for the third consecutive month.Casinos and their online partners made close to $259 million from online gamblers in January, up over 17% from the same month last year, according to figures released Tuesday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.That considerably exceeded the $213 million earned by Atlantic City’s nine casinos from on-site gaming, which was 1.6% more than the previous year.Casinos, racetracks, and their partners made $586.4 million in total gambling income, which was about 6% more than the previous year.
