In order to address citizens’ concerns about traffic congestion in Somer’s Point and the recent and expected expansion from new construction projects, city officials are considering whether to commission a thorough traffic study.Near the conclusion of the council’s meeting on January 22, the matter was brought up, and the city engineer and council members talked about the timing and extent of a potential study.Council President Kirk Gerety noted that Mayor Dennis Tap came up with the concept after hearing numerous grievances about the city’s traffic situation.
