Will Hansen, the Crest Haven county planning director, has argued in favor of using funds from the Open Space Trust Fund to assist with the $1.6 million renovation of the largest recreational area in Upper Township.The township expects to get $1.1 million in county Open Space funding for the upgrades, which Hansen described in detail in a presentation to the county commissioners on February 10. With a $50,000 Neighborhood Finance Corp. award, the township would cover about $434,000 of the project’s cost.
