According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, a man from Atlantic City entered guilty pleas on Monday in two charges, one involving an assault and the other involving a gun.Shawn Braxton, 49, entered a guilty plea to charges of aggravated assault and unauthorized handgun possession without a permit. On April 20, he will be sentenced to five years in jail.The Prosecutor’s Office said in a news statement on Tuesday that when Atlantic City police reacted to allegations of an attack on December 7, 2024, they discovered that Braxton had assaulted, spat on, and tried to pepper spray another person.
