New state regulations on coastal development that were strongly opposed by Cape May and other Shore counties are now facing bipartisan pushback in the Legislature.The climate-related regulations, known as the Resilient Environments and Landscapes program and adopted in the waning hours of the Murphy administration, are “inconsistent with legislative intent,” according to a concurrent resolution introduced in the Senate.Among those sponsoring the resolution includes representation from Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties.
