Melanie Collette has resigned as a member of the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, county Administrator Kevin Lare confirmed on Monday.Lare said that Collette submitted a letter of resignation effective Friday, March 20, and is under consideration for a new role in county government.A resolution set for a vote by the Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, March 24, would transfer the office of public information from the county tourism department to the county administration.
