A 53-year-old Egg Harbor Township man will serve up to 20 years in jail for fatally shooting his girlfriend in 2023, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office announced.Kevin Dorsey was sentenced Wednesday on charges of specified person not to possess a firearm and aggravated manslaughter. He pleaded guilty to the charges Feb. 11.Dorsey was in his house in the 300 block of Zion Road on Oct. 26, 2023, when he discharged a pistol five times into his bedroom closet, murdering his girlfriend, Charlena Burnett, 44, who was within the closet, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
