Fugitive In 2016 Deadly Shooting Outside Hamilton Mall Arrested

An anonymous tip led U.S. marshals to the last defendant in a shooting that left one man dead and his brother wounded in 2016. According to BreakingAC.com, Malik Boone, who turns 32 on Sunday, was arrested without incident at about 6:16 a.m. Thursday inside a relative’s home in the 4800 block of Merion Avenue in Philadelphia.
Boone was allegedly the man who drove his co-conspirators to the Hamilton Mall the day after Thanksgiving, as Black Friday shoppers got a traditional start to Christmas shopping. Demond Cottman, 21, and three others had exited the Hamilton Mall just after 1 a.m. Nov. 25, 2016, when gunfire erupted. Cottman, a new husband and father, died at the scene.
