New Jersey became the second state this year to pass legislation restricting the use of facial coverings by police enforcement, including federal ICE officials, when Democratic Governor Mikie Sherrill signed it on Wednesday.Earlier this month, Bob Ferguson, the Democratic governor of Washington state, signed a similar bill. Legislatures dominated by Democrats in other states have also approved or are debating similar limitations.
