Pipe Bursts Cost

According to county administrator Michael J. Fiure, consecutive pipe bursts inside the Ocean County Justice Complex have resulted in a significant relocation of judicial functions and water damage estimated at $1.1 million.The problem started on January 25 when a third-floor ceiling pipe burst during a protracted period of freezing weather, which was only one feature of one of the worst winters at the beach in recent memory. On February 9, a second pipe, a sprinkler line in Courtroom 15, failed in the 1980s-era structure, causing major further flooding on several floors
