Atlantic City Police arrested a man who stole a cash register in similar fashion to prior incidents.
On September 11, at 6:41 PM, patrol officers responded to a convenience store in the 3800 block of Ventnor Avenue after a man stole the cash register. Officers learned that the suspect, 41 year old William Flores of Atlantic City , entered the store and conversed with the store merchant. Flores left and returned wearing different clothes and without saying anything stole the cash register containing money and fled.
After an investigation, Flores was identified after engaging in similar incidents in 2023. Criminal charges were completed for his arrest. On September 12, Officer Adrianna Petinga was patrolling the Boardwalk when she observed Flores. He fled from officers and was ultimately apprehended.
