Atlantic City Electric officials say they now believe that a fire at an electrical substation earlier this month was caused by a cable fire. That fire lead to a power outage that affected about 24,000 customers across the Wildwoods. According to the Press of Atlantic City, A fire to a cable is believed to be behind a blaze at an electrical substation in the city that led to a loss of power across the an investigation found the fire’s origin beneath the building at the power station off Susquehanna Avenue. An official cause has not been determined, and foul play is not believed to have played a role.
