Aerial Mosquito Spray Rescheduled for Monday

The Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control will again attempt to conduct an evening aerial spray over portions of Galloway Township and Port Republic on Monday, July 31 between 6 PM and 8 PM, weather permitting, as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce the population of adult mosquitoes and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne illness.
Unfavorable wind conditions prevented the previously scheduled aerial sprays last week.
In Galloway Township, the areas to be treated are bounded by: Route 9 and King’s Highway; Rt. 9 east to the E.B. Forsythe Refuge, from Smith-Bowen Rd. to Leeds Point Rd.; Rt. 9 east to the E.B. Forsythe Refuge, from E. Somers Landing Rd. to E. Chanese Lane. In Port Republic, the areas to be treated are between Sooy’s Landing Road, Clark’s Landing Road and Mill Street on the West and and Chestnut Neck to the East.
