The aerial mosquito spray originally scheduled for July 24 has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening, July 26 between 6 PM and 8 PM, weather permitting, for portions of Galloway Township and Port Republic. Wind conditions forced the cancellation of Monday evening’s spray, according to the Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control. In the event of unfavorable conditions on Wednesday evening, the spray will be postponed until Thursday evening, July 27, 6-8 PM, weather permitting. The county is providing the aerial spray as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce the population of adult mosquitoes and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses.
