Nine people were put into handcuffs after being arrested in a sweep for drug activity along South Tennessee Avenue in Atlantic City, according to police. The sweeps in the first block of the street were in response to complaints from residents and merchants regarding drug use and distribution in the area, police said in a news release.Police seized 52 grams of cocaine, 145 bags of heroin, assorted drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency in making the arrests.
