The Atlantic City Police Department conducted multiple surveillance operations in the area of the first block of south Tennessee Avenue over two separate days. The operations were conducted by members of the Special Investigations Section and Patrol Division. They were in response to complaints from residents and merchants regarding the possession and distribution of narcotics in the area.
During both operations, nine individuals, including three juveniles, were arrested. A total of 52 grams of cocaine, 145 bags of heroin, assorted paraphernalia used in the distribution and use of narcotics, and U.S. currency was recovered. Among those arrested were three, 17 year old males from Atlantic City.
