AC Make Drug Arrests In Two Separate Cases

Atlantic City Police arrested two men in separate investigations leading to the recovery of a handgun and cocaine.
On September 21, 2023, they executed a court authorized residential search warrant in the first block of south Iowa Avenue in reference to an ongoing narcotic investigation. The target of the investigation, 33 year old Knocumus Dixon of Atlantic City, was arrested. During the search of Dixon’s residence, detectives located more than seven ounces of cocaine and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.
The investigation was led by Detective Eric Evans.
On September 22, detectives observed 23 year old Daquann Smith of Galloway on a bicycle speaking with two women in a parked vehicle. The detective’s observations led them to conduct a motor vehicle stop after the driver pulled away. During the investigation, detectives located a bag inside the vehicle that contained a loaded handgun and identification for Smith. Smith arrived at the motor vehicle stop and acknowledged that the bag belonged to him. The handgun had been reported stolen from Gainesville, FL. The women were released with no charges. Smith was taken into custody.
