35 year old Alvin Wyatt of Atlantic City has been sentenced to 70 years in
New Jersey State Prison. Wyatt was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder after firing eight times into
the bleachers at a crowded Pleasantville High School football game on November 15, 2019.
One of the bullets struck a 10-year-old spectator in the neck while he watched the game
with his mother and sister. Multiple bystanders rendered aid to the victim until first responders could
transport him the nearest hospital. After numerous surgeries, the boy died of his injuries
several days after the shooting.
