AC Man To Be Sentenced In November In Connection With Shooting Death

Sentencing is set for November 2nd for 34 year old Khalif Toombs of Atlantic City who pleaded guilty to one count of first-
degree conspiracy to commit murder for his role in the shooting death of 21 year old Lamir King also of Atlantic City, on January 1, 2019. The plea calls for Toombs to serve 12 years in New Jersey
State Prison under the No Early Release Act.
At 6:25 p.m. on January 1, 2019, Lamir King was shot multiple times in his car outside of 701
North Ohio Avenue in Atlantic City and died from his injuries. Jamie Sewell, Sr., 58, of Atlantic
City, was arrested and later pled guilty for his role in the shooting.
